Create System Image Failed - Not enough disk space

Just can't back up my computer I have a 2tb usb drive plenty of room says to check vss and spp log files don't know how running win 7 pro thanks Tom

why not clone the whole drive to the external? there are some decent programs out there to do this. macrium reflect is free and easy to use. acronis is another good one and has one just for western digital drives if thats what you have.

i used it for a long time and it saved my tail twice.just booted from the secondary drive,cloned it to my primary and voila,bobs your uncle.i use acronis now (have WD hdds and thought id give it a try).little easier to understand than macrium but the end result is the same.

Cloning would cut image migration in half!
I've been creating an image on an external, then swapping out the drives, and mounting on the drive!

You just solved a question i didn't know i had!
