DB25 Cable Uses? Voltage/Watts/Amps?

OKAY, odd question, I'm building a standalone water/rad box. I want to redirect the computers power LED, network traffic LED, activity LED for the HDD and so on from the header to the water box for a lighting scheme I'm working on. I'm also wanting to relocate the power & reset button along with Temp, Flow and fan speed sensor wiring to a controller in the water box.
My question is, will a standard DB25 cable work to link the two. I know the wires are 28 AWG,
(I know that's really thin) but will they handle the different loads, or is it too small and would burn out the wire and/or insulation?
I've read that they will handle a crazy amount of voltage, but I know the watts and amps have to be taken into concideration too.
I'll probably use 22 AWG in the cases themselfs with a male DB25 PCI connector to limit the possability of a "miss conection", but If I don't have to make the conecting cable it would be great.
Thanks, sorry if that gives you a headache.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, please direct me to the right one.
