I recently cloned my hardrive with my os using drive image xml and I tried booting with it and it wasn't detected, so I used the system repair thing off a flash drive, I did a automatic repair and used the command console, I would like some help on how to make it bootable.
I am also on windows 8 if that helps at all

You have to make sure you have some settings checked to make it bootable. Check the instructions here: https://www.runtime.org/driveimage_faq.htm#boot

You can clone with XML and use EasyBCD boot editor (free version) to edit your boot menu after cloning. Although I use it with Windows 7, it's supposed to be compatible with Windows 8. If you want steps this can help: http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=36115447&pos...

What EasyBCD will do is allow you to add the new hard drive as an entry for your Master Boor Record so that it gets detected and becomes an option at your boot menu at startup.
