I am building a pc, my first build thus far and my first post on this forum.

Unfortunately, I am having a bit of a problem making a choice on my graphics card.

Right now, I am looking to get either the gtx 760 gigabyte card with 4 gigs of ram, or the 770 with 2 gigs.

Now, ram usually isn't an issue from what I can tell by other posts and research. It's the processing power that's more important.

Except in the case of multi monitor setups. I have two 32 inch tv's as my setup and plan to have them both running at 1080p, but only ONE of them will be used to play a game while the other is used to display a youtube video, or skype, etc. (in other words, not gaming stuff.)

Another concern is that I may go sli on this setup one day and I know that the ram is NOT added in sli, so if i get the 770 at 2 gigs, I'll be limited to that 2 gigs later in an sli setup.

So in summary, should I get the 4 gig 760 and later up it to sli when the card is cheaper and games get more demanding, or is the 2 gigs on the 770 going to be enough to handle this setup and be a viable sli setup later?

I appreciate your time in helping with this issue in advance!

if you have any thoughts of sli, then you go for the 4gb, end of story lol
the 2gb on the 770 will handle any 1080p application before running out of power, but games like crysis 3 and the witcher 3 (not out yet) use more than 2gb at max settings. these settings would normally be too much for a single 770, (under 30fps anyways) but when in sli you will be undercutting the performance by only having 2gb of effective vram.

so for sli, i'd say go 4gb or get a better card with more stock vram

Sounds good. With the multiple monitors and the possibility of sli in the future, I think I'll stick with the 760. Thanks for your time!
