The total currently is $562 if I could lower that price without losing performance or increase the performance without a significant increase any help would be appreciated. I also did not include a GPU because I don't plan on playing games on this PC and I left the Memory at 1x8GB stick so that i may upgrade to dual channel at a later date. Thoughts/Substitutions?

You do NOT need the FX, at all. And how are you going to have graphics? I do not think there is integrated graphics. Since you aren't playing games, get an AMD A4-5300 or above. Otherwise, it might do.

And since you are not gaming, why would you need 8 GBs? 4-6 GBs should be enough to make your home PC run smooth and well.

But overall, it looks fine . It should run well to plug into the TV as a HTPC.
