Hi all,

It seems to be popular to ask how your PC build fairs against the new gen consoles, PS4/XBOX, and so i became curious about my recent build.

MSI G45 Gaming MOBO
i5 4440
8GB Memory
1TB Seagate Hard Drive
GTX 660
Corsair 650w
CoolMaster 212 EVO

I built it about a week ago and have been playing BF4. Im not too savvy with frame rates and what not so i dont know how to check that stuff. All i know is i researched parts and these seemed pretty good.

Any opinions on how this would fair against new consoles in terms of graphics and performance? Anything you would do differently or upgrade in the near future?

FYI my bill for all of this came out to about $800 but i really didnt want to pay for a monthly subscription to play games online (pretty much made up for that cost already though).

you are roughly on par with the ps4 at this point in terms of pure gaming performance. that processor will let you use pretty much any gpu, and for a gpu upgrade, the 760 is a fairly good upgrade, but go for the 780 if you want that big boost (270x and 290 are the respective amd counterpart cards and perform about equally with the nvidia ones listed respectively, though the 290 is slightly faster than the 780 in some games)
