My L300D died only a black screen, the HD seems to run, the fan too, I acquired a SATA to USB cable and checked the HD and it appears to be fine. I then purchased a new motherboard from Toshiba and changed it out but still the same thing. Any suggestions. I have replaced with a new Toshiba that is running Windows 8 and what a piece of S**T operating system. I want to go back to my old L300 and Win 7.
