I have an older small form factor desktop that needs more RAM. I added a USB multidisplay adapter which slows her down even more than before. I know I can only go up to 2G of RAM. But when I added my new Komputer Bay RAM she freezes during boot.
Im not 100% sure of the motherboard model. Listed on the board is IBM and USI. So instead of guessing which sticker is the model #, I downloaded CPU-Z. It shows the chipset and BIOS info but shows the manuf and model are both IBM.
The RAM I have now: DDR 2 @ 512M each - 133.3mhz - PC2100 Kingston - 2.50V
I bought to replace (not add to):DDR 2 @ 1G each - PC2700 - 333mhz - Komputer Bay
Is my RAM not compatible with my motherboard?
Id rather save my old girl. But if need be...
Any help is appreciated.

The motherboard model is of no help. Check the CPU chassis for model info usually it will be mentioned on the back side or the side panel.

In the hindsight, the memory should be compatible atleast theoretically so IMO it should work but you may need a BIOS update. Drop an update!! :)
