I just bought an acer aspire and I cannot get anything to come up on it the screen just shows that there is no operating system found!

Solution
You will need to install a OS.
Get the disk, go into bios and put the disk as number 1 for bootdevice.
Startup and windows installer will guide you through it.

Its an Aspire V5-431 model # MS2360....I bought it off a friend of a relative and he said he had cleaned everything off of it but didn't realize it didn't have anything! When I turn it on it goes through a configuration and then says no operating system found.

In the brochure it was running on "Linpus™ Linux®" this means u need to buy windows OS or try using Linux...

Try running recovery / reset factory setting from post screen... (usually need certain key to be pressed)

most manufacturer had hidden backup partition that u can use to recover all data/setting/apps/os to be as manufacture/factory setting...
(like new)
