haha it sure will, depending on the router you can set up bandwidth allocation to mac addresses or assigned IP's something like that. if your router doesnt have that setting you can look into flashing custom firmware like tomato or DD-WRT.
not a problem, if by mixed network you mean 802.11 a/b/g/n . you have usually 4 ports for directly connecting and you can still broadcast wireless at the same time.
