Reboot loop after installing on SSD

I recently bought an OCZ Vertex 4 SSD (firmware version 1.4.1.2). I plugged it in the SATA3 port of m mobo and enabled AHCI from the BIOS, then burnt the Wndows 8 iso to a flashdrive. The SSD was clean and a new partition (along with two extra UEFI partitions) created durin the Windows installation.

The problem is that after installing Windows on the SSD, the first boot after removing the flashdrive seems to crash very quickly after appearing the logo and reboot the computer in a loop. After a few tries a blue screen appears (error 0xc0000001, boot failing) giving a few options (safe mode, disable some UEFI features), but none made any difference.

I tried with two flashdrives, and was able to install it correctly on my old HDD in the same machine. My boot priority has three entries: "Windows Boot Manager", which crashes as describe above; Samsung HDD, which installed correctly; and OCZ Vertex, which boots into the Samsung installation (?).

Installing on IDE mode didn't make any difference either. Am I missing something? What could it be?

Disabling all UEFI support and reinstalling Windows did fix the problem. Thanks a lot.
