the 3d capability on my video card is no longer recognised by the OS i think . First i guessed that my ati 4850hd just broken, but i ran an online test and 3d worked just fine. i've uninstalled/installed the video card and dl the latest driver from ATI, to no use. I suspect a windows problem, i use windows xp professional - it showed signs of fatigue lately, but i can't put a finger on. any ideas?
updated: in dxdiag 3d tests are greyed out, when i try to play a 3d game i get the "try to get e better video card". also i cannot use the system restore. the card is recognized tho, no conflicts in device manager, it appears always as "ati radeon 4800hd series"..
