first I'd like to make it clear that my pc is not slower or older, It has intel-i7 4770 processor, Asus H87pro mobo, Gskill snipper 8GB RAM, Seagate 7200RPM 1TB HDD, bought recently. Till now It has done any task given to it. but for last few days my pc gets slow down or mostly gets hung and needs rebooting, when I insert a CD or DVD. I don't know what problem is there because my pc is working fine when I don't use a CD/DVD. Please someone help me in this concern.

Try connecting the sata cable of the cd/dvd drive to another sata port and see if it may work this time.
