my laptop has only 2GB RAM and intel HD 4000 graphics..is windows 8 x64 the viable OS for this config coz rite nw m using it and my laptop makes a hell lot of noise also the windows xplorer crashes somtimes.

I think Windows 8 uses less RAM than Windows 7. Not sure if there's a difference between 32-bit and 64-bit though. Are you not able to upgrade the RAM?
