Good day guys,

I've been trying to make my laptop work but it brings up a System fatal error blue screen before it enters windows.it keeps looping this.I ve also tried to launch repair which it sits there forever. If i try to enter safe mode it keeps prompting the blue screen after the files are loaded.only once i managed to enter safe mode.

I tried to fresh install windows 7 ultimate 64bit and also proffesional but it keeps popping the blue screen after the system restarts when the setup is done.(the laptop is 64bit)

The name of the system's fatal error is c000021a but i got various statuses to that,
for instance
0x00000001 0x00100538

then instead of 100538 i got 100488 and lastly a number ending in ....838
I tried looking these statuses up on the net but no one has ever encountered these particular statuses it seems.Their answer was reinstall windows e.t.c.

I thought it might be an overheating problem but i'm not certain this might be the problem

P.S. I used the same windows cd to other pc/laptops and it worked without any issues.

If anyone has ever encountered the same problem be kind enough to share your resolving answer with me :)

Thanks for your time

looks like some hardware is giving serious issues.
Are you able to install the drivers provided after a clean install? (this should hopefully fix the issue)

was this problem existing before? I mean, how long have you used this laptop? any recent hardware changes?

I havent been using the laptop for a long time. It was working perfectly but when i decided to format it and fresh install the os it started with the problems.i didnt make any hardware changes. If i remember correctly there was a heating issue in the past but has resolved at the same period without changing anything.
Cant find the drivers cd that came with the laptop.i never really needed it since i haven't had any similar issues. All the past formats/reinstalls have been working properly up til now.

I've contacted a friend and told me that if the windows logo is shown while loading then the hard disk is fine.

I really hope is an overheating problem.I am gonna open it and clean it during the weekend when i'll have time.

Thanks for the fast reply

Well it seems to be a different case.I tried installing Windows 7 32bit and everything works fine. And when i install 64bit it brings blue screens.

My laptop is Toshiba A300D-205
With an amd Turion x2 64

Is there something i have to enable in order to get 64bit windows installed? because clearly my laptop supports the 64bit

Thanks
