looking for good processor not just for gaming but also for other pourpose

i want to built a pc not just for gaming but also for other purpose like watching movies and to run auto cad ,pore like software so plz tell me to pick which processor fx-6300 or i3-2120
and i heart that amd processor has no success ,i mean they give problem after 1 year and they do not give proper visualization

the i3 2120 will be great for what you need, but if you are buying new go for the i3 4130

Dont really see a point in putting a 6 core amd in there if you are not going to be gaming

I'm personally leaning towards the FX-6300. The extra number of cores would be great because you could easily multitask (run CPU intensive programs in the background as you game). It's also just a good gaming CPU for the price.

I would only recommend the i3-2120 if you were planning on building a budget PC just for gaming. However, since you might want to run additional, CPU intensive tasks in the background, the 6300 is a better fit.

FX 6300 over i3. Just bumped to FX 6350 speeds, it does a fair job of beating an i3 3225 across the board, especially in multitasking situations or games that can make use of the extra cores.

ASUS Sabertooh 990FX is a great MOBO IMO. I have one and I overclocked my CPU with it very well.

I would not go with an R7 250. It is at the very bottom of recommended GPU's on the best of list. What is budget for CPU, Motherboard, and GPU?

By my understanding, 30000 Rs is roughly 500 USD. I operated under this assumption when I chose these parts. Bear in mind, I don't know where you like to shop in India, so these links are to Newegg just to give you an idea of price. I tried to get the best parts for the lowest cost, but I think it might be a bit over your budget. Let me know if that's the case.

You want an Intel processor instead of an AMD processor? With your budget, your build will really hurt if you get an Intel. You can't beat the 6300 for the price.

If you really want an Intel based build, let me know and I'll try my best, but your best option is going with the 6300.

Thanks for pointing out the RAM/Motherboard frequency. I forgot that when I changed to a cheaper motherboard, I didn't adjust the RAM accordingly.

Get this motherboard instead of the Gigabyte that I linked previously.

If you want a a budget processor that is good for gaming and other CPU intensive tasks, then you have even more reason to get the 6300 over a similarly priced i3.
Here's why: The 6300 has 6 cores. This means that you can devote some of those cores to video decoding, or project publishing or whatever else you want it to do in the background, and still have 4 cores or so to game with. With a budget Intel, you only have 2 cores. This would be better for gaming, but you would be stuck doing one CPU intensive task at a time. Even if you got a Haswell i3, the marginal single threaded performance boost would only really help you with gaming, not doing other stuff at the same time. That's why the 6300 is a great budget, gaming/work oriented processor.

Avoid any of the x1xx AMD chips. They are horrible CPU's.

logainofhades is absolutely right. Any AMD CPU that has a 1 for the second number (x1xx Example: 8150) has the bulldozer architecture and is garbage. The x3xx CPUs are MUCH better.

For 40000 Rs, this is probably the best you can get:

FX 6300 is faster than a 7850k. The 7850k lacks L3 cache that hurts gaming performance. A 7850k is roughly about as fast as an old Phenom II X4 965.

[strike]The build I listed is the best you can get for that amount of money. The GPU destroys the GPUs you mentioned above, and the processor is a quad core i5, which is better than any other processor mentioned yet. If it's within your budget, which I think it is, then get it as you can't get a better price to performance ratio for gaming and the stuff you want to do.

It has enough wattage, a big enough case, more RAM than you'll probably need, a great CPU, a great budget graphics card, and a solid motherboard.

The i5-3350P is better than the i3 by a good margin. It's faster in games, and has more cores which will allow you to multitask.

Again, if the build I linked is within your budget, go for it because the GTX 660 is better than any of the above cards.

I would probably go with a quality 550w from a well known brand. Corsair, seasonic, pc power & cooling, XFX. Of the 4 cards listed the 260x is the fastest. I am only familiar with flipkart for your country. I was struggling to get under 40k even with an FX 6300 and a 260x before case and windows.
