If you want to stress test then great. I believe digital storm does that already for you but sometimes it's fun to just check. Without knowing more hope all this info gives you the confidence that you are safe and idea of what isn't! Glad to help!

Thanks,

Without knowing your load temps, in general those are pretty typical numbers. If your temps are over 80 and hitting 90s then no not safe; too close to throttle points and not good for longevity - won't hurt anything immediately but not recommended. Typical OC temps will get that high while figuring out optimal settings but once found you want to be in the 60s and 70s max. For example, I have a 247 oc of 4.4GHz on my i7 3770k with vcore at 1.145 + .0085 manual offset. I've hit 4.8GHz but temps were in the 80s and 80s and vcore was near 1.4V. Stay below these high numbers and you should be good. Enthusiast cooling yields sub 60C load temps. High end in the 70s and you are below average any higher. Hope that gives you a good idea.

That's sounds perfect. If when you stress test it using programs like prime95 or intel burn test then you may see higher load temps but as long as they stay below the 80s you are fine. Of course lower is better. You're safe so far. How did you achieve this load? Gaming?
