I have a 4TB drive in an external enclosure. I formatted it with GUID (the G one, sorry, it's late) and then NTFS quick formatted. I can create files, see the drive, and copy - but only copy small files or small batches. When I try to copy data that would fit (the folder in question is 273GB that I'm trying to copy to the external) to the drive, it says "copying" then the copy box disappears, and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Using this as a backup solution obviously isn't going to work if I have to spend 8 days piecemeal copying and pasting.
