Can I use both PCIe 3.0x16 and PCIe 2.0x16?

Can I run double graphics but different type? My motherboard has one PCIe 3.0x16 slot and a PCIe 2.0x16 slot. I'm asking if I could use both graphics but different type, for example GTX 550Ti and GTX 650?

Yes, but not in SLI.

The cards have to be the same. either 2 550 ti's or 2 650's for SLI.
