Hmmm Im an evga fan as you can see in my sig. I got the classified model from them. I would suggest getting a evga with dual bios so you can (if you overclock) load up a custom bios and remove the voltage lock and really get some performance out of the card. The acx cooling is amazing! Works great and the evga cards overclock like a champ. Stay away from the reference design because those coolers dont work as well and they can get a tad bit loud.

If the EVGA one has a ACX cooler go for that one

If you want gigabyte only get the GHz edition, the revised fan shroud is metal and makes the card sag a lot without the backplate. Out of those 2 you mentioned the EVGA one for sure.

I would go with EVGA, their cards are built well, their customer support is fantastic.

Azzazel or wetf your name is, the reference coolers actually work fantastic and depending on the type of case the OP has may be superior. Blindly recommending an ACX cooler is pretty dumb without knowing what the OP has. I run a small matx positive pressure case, and the reference design is a necessity for me. ACX cooling would actually be detrimental and raise temps if it was used in my case.

Also, dual bios isn't necessarily needed, nor even an "overclocked" card. The basic reference 780 Ti is blazing fast on its own without having to mess with clocks or voltage. I suggest finding out what the OP wants to do before making blind recommendations.

I run a pair of the base reference cooler 2881 KR EVGA 780 Ti's in SLI and there is 0 need to OC anything, even on a 144hz 1080p monitor. Even when I run a single 780 Ti at base clocks its blazing fast and plays everything at max settings fluidly.

Thats why i mentioned if he overclocked. I clearly noted the cons to it and it was just my recommendation which was asked. He asked for recommendations and thats what i gave. Good day :)

It doesn't matter if he OC's or not, your still making blind recommendations and giving out opinions that under varying circumstances can be completely false. Like your reference/ACX cooler comparison. The ACX cooler for my case is TERRIBLE compared to the reference cooler, stock or OC'd.

There is no reason to blatantly rant at him for giving a suggestion and opinion however wrong, biased or misleading it may be. As far as the reference cooler goes, its "ok" at best and should only be used in a case that has little to no airflow, or small form factor PC where you would have to rely on the card to draw air from inside the case and exhaust outside as to not heat your other components. For any other use the non reference cooling solutions are 99% of the time far superior to the reference ones. And the OP posted reference as well as no reference cards, a much easier solution would have been to ask the OP post his case setup so that he may be give a better more valuable opinion.

since he clearly listed a non ref cooler i assumed aftermarket coolers were fine. Had you paid attention you would know that.
