Solution
I would upgrade to a 4-core processor and keep your other components for now.

I like what envy14tpe suggested. The architecture upgrade and hyperthreading (8 cores) will help with your work requirements big time.

I would change the motherboard suggestion though. ASRock is bargain-brand. I don't like the idea of putting all of my components on a bargain-brand foundation. I'm not saying it's bad, but there's a reason they undercut everyone else's prices so they have to be saving that money somewhere in the construction of the boards. Asus is among the top motherboard makers. An Asus Z87-A motherboard at $130 (SLI-ready for future considerations).

procy http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113285 $159 8320
mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131851 $139 ASUS M5A99FX
ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231455 $84 G skill 2x4gb 1866 cl9
gpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121660 $189 asus gtx 660 2gb

procy: 8320 not as strong as an i7 on single thread but on multi thread, rendering stuffs etc, it can give an i7 a good fight
Asus: a decent board with a 6+2 power phase which is a decent mobo to overclock an 8320 to be on par if not better than an 8350. NEVER OC IF YOU DONT HAVE A GOOD CPU COOLER.
gtx 660. great value card. miles ahead than a gtx 650.
ram 2x4gb=8gb 1866 mhz cl9. you need at least 8gb for work.

this would be a better all around rig than the i7 suggested earlier. an i7 with a gtx 650 is a waste of money.

P.s the xeon suggestion is also good

if on budget a hyper212 evo is a good cooler. i dont know how will it perform with an fx but i say a 4.3g is safe for it. if you have a budget for air coolers a cooler master v8 gts. not only it performs very very good. but it also looks nice. for water coolers dont get anything lower than a corsair h100
