Hi, i got a problem related to the motherboard BIOS, and it is, suddenly, the windows clock started giving me the wrong time, either late an hour or precedes an hour, it is random, any way, it is just giving the wrong time. at that point, i knew it is something related to BIOS, so i checked and changed anything related to the windows clock and it is stayed the same.

I went to my BIOS and found the clock is wrong there too, i changed it, but again, it didn't solve the problem, i reseted the BIOS back to defaults, and the problem still exists.

After i noticed the problem, my router is just getting crazy, my internet connection stops and i cannot access the router's page through my browser unless i unplug the twisted pair cable connected to my pc from the router and then plug it back in and then i get online again.

So,
First: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE ROUTER ?

Second: is resetting the BIOS back to defaults is clearing the CMOS? i mean they are the same operation right ?

Third: do i need to change the battery located in the motherboard ?

Fourth: how can i solve the problem :D ?

I'am using :
ASUS SABRETOOTH Z87
Core i7 4770k @ 3.5Ghz
Corsair Vengance 8GB 1600Mhz
Gigabyte R9 280x WINDFORCE
500GB WD Blue HDD
OCZ VECTOR 128GB SSD
Windows 8.1 Pro

It seems like your BIOS is not retaining its settings, yes I would change the battery on the motherboard. I don't think there is a problem with your router, it is with your network card. It could be that the BIOS is reverting to some settings causing your network card no not function properly.

FYI,BIOS is the program(Software) inside the CMOS Microchip(Hardware).CMOS Battery fully drained..that's why BIOS Settings wont be saved.the MOBO(specifically the CMOS Chip) now rely on the AC Supply, turning the computer OFF is resetting the BIOS back to its default.it can no longer retain its own LIFE for saving the settings..
