a couple of days ago i started having issues with my internet connection.
im using a TP-Link USB adapter to connect to a router not to far away, and this worked very well for a long time now.
now all of a sudden, without any changes to this setup, the signal is inconsistent, mostly very low and occasionally disconnecting, i shows full bars at the bottom tray until i try to load something (youtube clip for instance) then it drops by half or more and runs things very slow or not at all, every few pages i try to load get me the server down screen making me refresh the page.
other computers on the network dont have this problem.
any suggestions?

Solution

I have a TP Link USB as well, it does that once in a while, goes down to 1mbyte/s when it should be 100 etc. Disconnects sometimes too. Mostly it happens if I install their utility as well, not just drivers. So don't ever install the utility, just leads to problems.

the router is a D-Link DSL-2650U
also forgot to mention cable is not an option, and in any case it worked flawlessly up until now in wireless, i dont see any reason it shouldnt go on working.
