Hi all,

I want to build a small PC for me to use as a gaming console. I will be connecting it to my TV and using controllers and/or wireless keyboard and mouse.

Because of the limited space i have for the PC, i'm going to use a Corsair 250D case, because it's one of the few cases that will fit where i need it.

Another point is that i am kinda leaning towards an AMD build (because of Mantle), but if you think that Intel/Nvidia would be better please tell me.

Approximate Purchase Date: Next Month

Budget Range: $700 - $800 (Corsair 250D included)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Internet, Home
Are you buying a monitor: Yes / No

Do you need to buy OS: No (Thinking about installing SteamOS - EDIT: Not going to install SteamOS, but no need to consider OS in the price.)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Conrad.com or any one that ships worldwide (Brazil specifically)
* If there are no websites like this, anyone would do, because i can probably find the components here in Brazil.

Location: São Paulo, SP, Brazil

Parts Preferences: See above.

Overclocking: Yes, if its possible with this budget.

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I would appreciate a quiet PC, but it's not a must. Must be in a 250D or shorter case (height limitations). 7.1 or 5.1 audio would be nice, but not a must.

Thanks

Its hard and expensive to build a great mini-itx gaming computer in Brazil. Having said that, you could start with this another case. What do you think?

PS. Boa sorte!

I know that it is very expensive to build a PC here in Brasil, this is why i chose this budget, because transformed to Reals (currency in Brasil) and taking into account the taxes, i can afford this PC.

About the case, any case smaller than the Corsair 250D is ok. I think that this one is too long though, i have to check at home if it will fit.

Valeu ;)

I really like this build and i´m probably gonna use it.

I just saw that this MB is an ATX board, so it will not fit a small case like the Corsair 250D or Cooler Master Mini-ITX Elite 120.

I looked up the prices here in Brasil and they are lower than i expected them to be, so i can change the GPU to a "Radeon Gigabyte R9 280X WindForce 3GB GDDR5 384Bits, GV-R928XWF3-3GD". Do you recomend i do this?

Also, even changing the GPU, i can probably go with e 2TB Raid0 storage, can you give me an advice about this too.

One last thing, what CPU cooler would you recomend?

Thanks

Yes I will recommend the R9 280x. I am not very familiar with RAID stoarge so you should probably ask someone else about that. And Finally I recommend the Corsair H60 for liquid and the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO for air. Good luck on your system!
