Best 1000w psu for 290 tri-fire?

Solution
Radeon R9-290 - requires 31A and a 550W PSU minimum.

Single 290 is 300W card and requires 25A, so technically a 1000W PSU can handle the system. Your chosen PSU is a very good unit Tier 1 brand.
These 3 beasts will draw approx 750W and giving the consideration that you would be overclocking and that the other components' power requirement, you would be drawing close to 1000W. It will suffice but to ensure the stable system you may consider using 1000W+ PSU with minimum 90% efficiency and believe me you will definitely be needing best PSU for your system.

Efficiency doesn't mean how much power it can output. Any good quality unit can output is rated capacity. The efficiency only means that it doesn't have to draw as much from the wall. I.E, a 1000 watt unit may pull 1200 watts from the wall under 1000 watts of load, where as a more efficient one might only pull 1100.
