how can I log on to windows vista as different user. It wont accept my password any more it says cannot load user profile. hp laptop

Sounds like a possible corrupted user profile. See here for how to resolve:

Hi Thanks for that but I cannot get in to the system to create the new user. There is a recovery drive but I cant access it either. Boot options don't let you boot from the other drive.
