Unable to detect or reinstall graphics card

Recently this issue cropped up and I'm a bit stumped.

I cannot update my nvidea graphics card, as it says it cannot be detected. Heading to device manager, it is indeed unlisted, and trying to show hidden devices doesn't yield it, or any unknown devices. Any ideas?

What Nvidia card and motherboard are you using?

My card is an Nvidea 555M, and the PC is an alienware M14x, so the standard integrated motherboard for that.

Ah, nevermind, I've resolved the issue. A fancy cocktail of removing old driver installations, CCleaner, and flashing the BIOS appear to have resolved my issue. Thanks for your time and quick response ;D

It sounds like I'm having the same issue, However I have AMD Radeon and don't understand much about this, could you explain in simple terms how you fixed it?
