hello everyone
i am building a budget gaming pc for a friend but i dont know where to start.
he wanted the price to be arround $400 to $500, he wants it to have atleast 6GB to 8GB of ram and 1TB to 2TB hdd, he need it to have a hdmi out port and he's going to use his old windows 7 install disk, so the os is not needed.
any help would be great.

Solution
Yeah pertty much you probably 'should' get something like this.
Even so an extra $50 on the GPU would be quite welcome going for GTX660 or R9 270.

Might just want to save the headache at this point too, and just say "wait a little longer". He could do better for only a couple hundred more, for longer term (4-5 years) gaming as the FX-6300 has been shown to been maxed out in BF4, imagine what BF5 might do to it? Yeah, unplayable.

If he is set about only $400 (in PC gaming you can't do it that low it is normally minimally $600, best around 700+) then tell him to get a console. Then he will be good for ALL games produced for it for the next 10 years (see the age of the PS3/Xbox360 still playing today).

However This one actually fits the bill. It has pretty much chopped up everything it can, while still maintaining some level of CPU and graphics juice.
