So, I live in Brazil and hardware is damn expensive here. Just to put the prices in perspective, the minimum wage is around $300. That said, I'm thinking in upgrading my gear and entering the overclocking world. I'm currently between the i5-4670k and the i7-4770k. The primary use will be gaming. I'm also unsure if a GTX 770 is the best choice GPU wise. Since I can't afford to upgrade very often, I need a reasonable gear that can last for a few years. Here are the prices:

i5-4670k - $312
i7-4770k - $460

GTX 770 - $470
GTX 760 - $375
GTX 780 - $750

Solution
Looking at those prices the GTX770 is well suited for you. You won't see enough benefit at least at the moment going from 4670k to 4770k to warrant the 50% increase in price. And definitely the $300 increase for GTX780 is far too much.

So i5 4670K and GTX770 is a good way to go forward.
