Looking at both cases. I see I can get the R4 with a window for about the same price right now as the DS2. This isnt a gaming build so is there any downside with having a window vs not. The computer will be used for recording so quiet is a big plus and if the window is a source of noise I'd want to avoid it.

Any other pros or cons over the other. I have read that the DS2 isn't as good cooling but not sure that matters if I'm not going for a lot of OC of CPU (proably will do a mild OC on a 4770K) and no OC of the GPU (likely a GTX 760 but not purchased yet)

For silence purposes, i'd go for the DS2, and you can always add more silent fans if you so choose. (also make sure to buy an aftermarket cooled gpu especially if silence is important to you, and get say a noctua cooler for your processor for better cooling while still being silent :D

I've already picked a Cool Master EVO for cooling
GPU is still waiting for a sale (I hope) but I understand Asus makes good coolers for their GPU's
Problem I have right now is that the best price for the DS2 also shows shipping in 2-5 weeks which is kind of a wide range and I'm not sure I want to wait that long. Else the R4 might actually be cheaper with the current deal. I haven't been able to find a direct comparison between the 2 unfortunately

I just found that anandtech has benchmark comparisons for cases and it looks like the DS2 is the better choice in both cooling and noise over the R4...not by much but by a bit. Since the cases are essentially the same price with the discount I see I think I might still go with the DS2 even if it works out to be a few dollars more in the end. I really don't care too much for the window on the R4, I might have decided differently if the window wasn't there
