I recently bought a Sapphire Tri-X R9 290X to upgrade my (Windows 7 Ultimate) computer. (I previously had a GTX 260 which had trouble with Minecraft even). It performed great at the start, but suddenly the driver started crashing. Tried a couple of versions, but not even the latest stable driver worked.
Today I came home and started my computer. At first no problems, but then suddenly while watching a Youtube video the screens went black, the fans started spinning at max, and after 5 seconds the sound also started to distort. Tried to reboot my computer, but only black screen. Nothing worked.
So far I tried:
- Removing all USBs from the slots and booting
- Switching to another PCI slot on my motherboard
- Tried my old graphics card (which works in both slots)
Any suggestions about what I can do?
