Hey guys. So i recently bought a Samsung Evo 840 SSD for my PC. I discovered that my motherboard only uses 1.5 GB/S (SATA l). Therefore a guy told me to get a controller card like this one:

Now i wanted to ask, should i get it? is it really necessary? and will it have an big impact on the performance of the SSD? Also will it even fit into my computer?

My motherboard is: 775DUAL-VSTA (http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=775Dual-vsta)

Thanks guys :)

It depends on what you are doing but from my experience, you don't NEED too, but to get the most out of your SSD, it will help the performance. I barely notice a difference, if any. Also you can always get it later. It is extremely simple to place into your motherboard. Just make sure you don't have anything in the pci e slot, as you only have one of them.
