Hi all,

I need to record some skyrim footage for my university course but because I have an ENB + 100s of mods, crashes on startup. I've done a lot of looking around but can't find a viable solution :/ I have an AMD card btw so Shadowplay isn't an option. Also, I can't uninstall ENB/mods because my recordings have to be very different from vanilla Skyrim. (+ I'm pretty sure they're not what's causing it)

I installed the injector version of the enb allowing afterburner to show through, but whenever I try to record, after a minute or so the game either crashes or everything turns black, imagine filled black meshes, then it crashes.

Before I forget, I made sure the enb was installed correctly, it did it twice to be sure. I get an error on start up saying the enbhost.exe failed but ENBhost is set to run with administrative rights., I'm using realvision and I also know it's nothing to do w/ the stability of my game, I checked by spawning 10 dragons in solitude and letting them massacre the townsfolk for a while :p

Any help would really help, thanks :)

EDIT: Here's some pics.

Most of the time when I have the types of crashes you describe it was caused by armor mods, so I would start there. Try uninstalling the armor mods, all of them if you can, if not then one by one to see if that helps.

Otherwise your best option is to uninstall Skyrim completely, then delete the game files found in programfilesx86/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim.

Then reinstall the game and start an entire new game and save the game once you get to the beheading scene. Try the new save game to see if you still have crash issues.

Then reinstall your mods but install only the mods needed for the course exercise. To be methodical, you may want to test the game after you install each mod, its time consuming, but sometimes troubleshooting takes time.

I don't believe it's the mod as the game runs fine when playing normally and works fine when recording w/ Open Broadcaster and Bandicam
