I have a 750W 80+Bronze PSU. I am wondering if I can run my R9 280X full load doing coin mining and run an ASUS GTX 570 (3x slot) for gaming at the same time.
BF4, LOL, SC2, D3, B:AO, AC:BF, FF, CS:GO

I think my system runs up to about 725W on the PSU calculator. Is it still ok to game on?

Solution
I would say no. I get 257 per card at bit mining which is 515. 250W for the GTX 570. about 100w for the cpu. call it 50w for the rest.I would say you would need to power about 900W which would mean to me at leat a 1000W supply (1200W would be better).

Do you not need to install the graphics drivers to bit mine? I ask because AMD and Nividia drivers on the same machine usually causes problems.

I currently have the drivers for both on the machine. I put in the driver disc for the R9 280X and installed it. Popped out the GTX 570. Popped in the R9 280X. Booted up and started mining. Nvidia drivers and software are still installed and even running right now (no 570 in the board right now though).

Zero cost for power. I just want to not blow up/short out my system so I can simultaneously game and mine.
After my first 12 hours on the R9 280X I am getting about 671 khash/s through GUIminer alpha.

Parents, I give them my check from work (which would easily cover power) and they help pay for most everything else. I do not factor in power costs because I will not be paying for it regardless of where my money is allocated.
