First, i'm not asking for advice on cards in general, I just want your opinion on these 2 cards. I'm stuck between these 2 low end cards, which I want to use for my low end machine that I use for odds and ends. I'm eyeing these 2 cards because they are plenty powerful for what I'm doing and and are both low profile and will fit in my smaller case, also they are essentially brand new as AMD's R7 series card just launched in fall. I really want the XFX card because its rated for higher clocks, as I plan to OC it to its max potential. I really want the Sapphire tech card because I've had 3 sapphire cards previously varying low and high end models and have never had any issues with any of them, and all still work. But the sapphire card isn't clocked as high by default, and isn't rated to be clocked higher. On the other hand sapphire is, in my eyes, the radeon go to brand, just like nvidias evga, you always get good quality, high performance, and reliability. With the XFX card you also get an extra DVI port if I ever want dual or triple monitors on this PC, so that's a plus. But for low end gaming, like CoD or some indie games, the XFX seems like a way more gaming oriented card. And I completely disregarded the 1 star review on the sapphire card because that guy just had a driver issue, and on other sites it has good 4 and 5 star reviews. I'm split because the sapphire card's got the reliability and reputation, but xfx has always felt like the low end of the radeon card makers to me, but its got that extra power i'm looking for. What is your opinion on which of these 2 cards would be best for me?

As a personal experience, I've gone xfx from the 4850 to the 5770 and have never been disappointed. If you like to overclock, they were the cards to do it. And in my opinion, xfx and Sapphire have very similar quality control levels.

Nice to hear that xfx is a reputable brand. Knowing this i'm leaning more towards giving the xfx card a try if you say they're good for OC.
