is there a way to bypass the printer error message stating "install HP genuine HP cartridges " I bought HP cartridges that were filled by another company for way cheaper and it worked on my old photosmart. This photosmart 6520 won't allow me to do it which is ridiculous. It's my printer and I should be able to fill it with whatever cartridge brand I wish to.

Please help!!!!

There are some sites out there that show how to short out some connectors to stop those error message, you need to do a web search for your model to see if it's doable for your printer.

The printer/ink issues between using off-brand stuff has been around for many many years. The printer companies sell the printers cheap but make the money on new ink, so they are not going to make using any other product easy.
