Please help! I have tried everything to get a signal to my monitor after burning up my cpu trying to overclock. I have since replaced my cpu, graphics card, and reset cmos and still no post beeps except when I take out my ram, then I get 3 beeps.

FM2 A85XA G65 motherboard
AMD athalon 760k
RZ260X graphics card
Seagate hdd
8 g sniper ram
500w psu

I am new to building so if there is anything I can try to fix this problem without replacing anything else that would be ideal. I kinda think it might be the psu and I will be getting a new one tomorrow 600w. Thanks in advance!

Are you sure you didnt burn the board. It would be more likely that you lost a mobo as opposed to a processor.

I got 5 beeps on bios before I replaced cpu, that's why I thought it was the cpu as 5 beeps means bad processor for msi motherboards. If I have to replace the motherboard I will but do you think it could be the psu?

I guess if I have too I can replace the motherboard and the psu and I will basically have some back up parts or I could try and return the parts that aren't busted. After I got 5 beeps I was sure it was the cpu, but I've been wrong before and honestly I am willing to try anything to get this problem fixed.

You don't get the 5 beeps with the new CPU? If you have a new psu coming already, the best bet would be to test that out. Sounds like everything will be new at that point other than the board anyways. Any chance for RMA on that msi board? How long have you had it?

I have had it for a little over a year, not sure if its still under warranty but worth a shot. And no beeps at all with the new cpu, the only beeps I can get is when I remove ram then I get 3 beeps signaling bad ram. And yes after the power supply everything will be new except for the motherboard so I guess I will find out today if that is the problem. Thanks for the help, if it is the motherboard you get the solve. I hope your wrong tho! Cause if your right about the mobo then I have to get a new one! This budget build is getting expensive trying to fix my mistake of overclocking like a newb.

Just about to hook up the new 600w power supply after I eat, be about 30 min then I will know if it's that or something else...uhh this is definitely the hard way to learn! Lol thanks for staying with me on this tho!

No luck, psu didn't solve the problem. I am taking it one piece at a time now to see if something is not hooked up right. Still get the 3 beeps without ram in, tried ram in different slots and one at a time, still nothing. Only 3 beeps without ram in. I think it is my mobo...

Have you tried it with no drives hooked up so that it forces boot to bios? Maybe try out that old video card.
