Random Shut Downs

So recently after upgrading my videocard to a 2gb card rather than a 1gb and getting 2 additional sticks of ram putting me from 8gb to 16gb I started experiencing shutdowns after leaving my computer on for extended periods or doing anything intensive i.e digital painting or playing videogames.

Since then I've reformatted my whole computer and started fresh reinstalled all of my drivers ect. But then soon after started experiencing random shutdowns with the situation culminating in my computer not turning on until I removed two sticks of ram. I'm curious to whether this is either a power supply issue or a problem with the two sticks of ram I removed.

TL;DR : Is my ram or power supply causing random shut downs

Is the shutting down begin with BSOD?

Is the memory stick fine? (run memtest with only one stick at time for at least 3-5 cycle)
Is the memory configuration right : A-B-A-B or B-A-B-A....(not A-A-B-B/B-B-A-A)

Have u run stress test to GPU and processor and check the temp? run the valley in loop (infinite) mode + prime95.. for at least 30min-60min...
This will stress the PSU, GPU, & processor...

Do not mix different rams if in dual-channel mode. Go to unganged mode if there is any. If you have set XMP or manual ram timings set to auto. Under memory configurations, if there is any power down mode or tristate/C3 disable it.
