Is IOGEAR KVM GCS632U works with Microsoft sculpt comfort desktop, especially the wireless mouse?

recently, I brought the Microsoft Scuplt Comfort Desktop Keyboard and mouse combo, and pluged into my iogear kvm gcs632u, the keyboard and vga works fine but the mouse not working, when i put the usb transmitter directly into the tower, it works. Is it the switches problem or the mouse is not comparable?

Well if it is not showing on the KVM, chances are it is just not compatible, but it because of lack of power or just an unsupported chipset.

It is kind of hit and miss with these things.

shame they do not sell these any more

While they do not switch video, many screens have more than one input now and you can share upto 7 devices and switch each one.

They still have a 4 port version on sale here(specs say usb 1.1 and 1.0, strange as the one I had was 2.0 for sure), but I have never bought from them(got the exact same thing at walmart like 7-10 years ago). It does introduce a small bit of report/sec lag into some mice while the 8 port one does not seem...

I can't see the transceiver appear in the Devices and Printers, when I directly plug the usb into the tower, it shows both the scuplt keyboard and mouse, what else I can test it

I would confirm usb 2.0 before ordering anything.

I also had the same problem between Logitech and Iogear KVM switches. I'm now using a cheap Gear Head (KB5125W) keyboard mouse combo that I got on sale from Frys (I think it was less than $12). All functionality works including the accessory buttons IE: volume up & down. I'm sure there are other makes that work but this is the only one that I found so far.

Performance on the Gear Head is definitely not as good as the Logitech. The feel, range, and sensitivity is not as good but it works for now.

Equipment used: IOGEAR GCS634U
