I would say a solid buy would either be the GTX 670, GTX 760, R9 270, R9 270X, or for a more budget oriented level, the GTX 660 or GTX 660 Ti, but only get the 660 Ti if you want it and it is less than all other cards but the 660.

The best card at that price point is probably the GTX 760.

Because of all the ltc mining, you wont be able to pick up a 270X and a decent price. your best bet would be the GTX 760 for $260 which performs on par with the 7950/670.
I would suggest stretching your budget and pick up the GTX 770 for around $330

For the 270X $200 and the 760 $260.
I wouldn't recommend buying the 270X if its more than $200 because then you would be getting closer to the 760 price which performs better.

I beg to differ, R9 270's are around $200 and some cheaper 270X's are around there as well, but most are around $220

However I do agree that a $20-40 stretch to a 770 would be a great idea.

If you can't do that a 760 would work great as well.

You're spot on, but with the crypto-coin crazy I'm surprised the cost for a 270X went up only $20-30, the 280X is either out of stock or $150 above MSRP, which is terrible. I did say I found a 270X for $200, but upon further review that is out of stock at the moment.

I guess the best bet is a GTX 760, it's within the budget.

OP, if you are willing to stretch to the 770 it is a great card and would work great with that 8350, the 770 is a powerful GPU and even my 6350 OC doesn't hold it back all too much. But if it is too much, a 760 would also be good.

EVGA all the way! I bought a GTX 770 my self but am busy with work and school ATM I didn't even un-boxed it yet. As for features, I think there pretty much al the same

Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA, MSI, and Sapphire are some main ones that I look for when browsing GPU's but remember some are exclusive for certain companies. For example, EVGA doesn't manufacture AMD GPUs and Sapphire doesn't make Nvidia cards.
