Are these decent speeds for an SSD in a laptop?

Just got my first SSD a few days ago, and it's definitely a lot faster, but I'm not sure if it's as fast as it should be. My laptop specs are...

ASUS G73jh-b1
i7-740qm (1.73 - 2.93)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870
8GB RAM
240GB Sandisk Extreme II SSD

All I did was swap the hard drives and use my windows installation disk to install windows. Was there anything else I was supposed to do?

Not much else you need to do. Your AS-SSD benchmark indicates that you are in AHCI mode. Your benchmark results are normal since your laptop only has SATA 2 (3Gb/s) ports.

If you are using Win 7 then run WEI (Windows Experience Index), which will automatically disable defrag on all SSDs. If you are using Win 8 it does it automatically during the installation process.
