Hello everyone..
I had a weird problem that I have never seen before yesterday..
I was playing DayZ, and hearing my mates through TeamSpeak. Suddenly their voices stopped and I didn't hear anything anymore and the screen turned black where the monitor gave me "No signal" message. But the PC was still running (Fans working).

I am running Windows 7 64 bit, Graphics Card is AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series, AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 Processor. 8 GB Ram.

What caused the problem? Was it overheating or was it the Graphicscard? Or a software issue?
Any idea please? Because this happened several times now specially after running the DayZ game.

Thanks for any Help!

Remove your power cord and press ON Button for like 30secs to a minute and then connect it back and turn it on. Still doesn't work?
Check your hardware connections if they are plugged tightly? Also make sure there is no shorting in parts of your pc. Then check for temperatures of your gpu and cpu with stress testing. Also, if you have updated your any drivers of your gpu, make sure you aren't using any beta ones.

Thank you for your reply.
I can restart my PC without problems, the screen turn on again with signal.
I checked the Temperatures of my GPU and CPU , without stress GPU = ~32 c , but CPU = ~55 c
I switched from the Game to my desktop to see the temperature of the CPU and it was 69 c , but couldn't See the GPU's Temp. because it happened again , it sounds Like the system stops which leads to "no signal" but the PC still running.
My monitor is connected to my card through HDMI cable.
Is this CPU overheating problem?
If yes, what could I do to solve the problem?

No I didn't. Should I just use another HDMI cable ? But if it was a cable Problem, why did the voices stop while using TeamSpeak with my friends like the windows itself crashed?

Thank you brarboy for replying on my issue.
I just found out how to get rid of the issue.. I searched the forum here and found someone who solved similar issue like mine by reducing the Mhz of the Gfx-Card's ram and GPU about 40.. I did that then didn't get any problem since then.
I really don't know why, is there something with the card itself? Or is there something wrong with the PSU??
I also managed to view the temperature of the CPU and GPU , the CPU while playing the game was at 69 and sometimes over 70 c , while the GPU was at 57 c while playing.
I ordered "Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo" online just in case, because the CPU gets hot anyway, and it is about 5 years old now with the stock heatsink and fan. I guess it is time to change them to decrease the temp of the cpu.

i did hear someone who used to get hangs and lags in games due to his gpu, but asked him reduce the gpu's volts and speedby 50-100mhz and eventually that solved his problem by larger margin. His gpu was factory overclocked and his system couldn't handle that configurations. Anyways glad you got your problem solved. With cpu cooler, i don't think you really need that if you aren't overclocking. Just re-apply the thermal paste and it would decrease your temps too.

Thanks again for the reply.
My PC once shutted down and refused to start like a year ago.. Then applied the thermal paste and everything was fine.. I was afraid that the cpu got burned.. The Temp. went down after that.. But the heat is back again, and the sound of the CPU stock Fan is very noisy when it gets stressed, therefore I decided to avoid any CPU heat troubles and to get rid of that noice by changing the heatsink with the fan and end the story.

ok i see that. In that case, you are good to go with hyper 212 evo. Just before buying make sure it would fit in your case properly :)
