i3 vs i5

If u are getting an i5 3230M against i3 3120M will this be make any impact on gaming like BF4.If they have same gpu.

Or u will just ended up in wasting money.

  1. On laptops with frequencies on CPUs being much lower, and lower amount of cores, you're really better off getting the i5. A single core at 2.5GHz is just not going to do it.

    No i will use it with GT 740M.
    My concern is that if i use an i3 with good gpu than that will give same performance as i5.
  5. Nope, a single core, even with a good GPU won't get close to the i5. By the way, yeah, the GT 740M isn't that good, though. But it should run Battlefield 4 on low settings, 720p, though.

    Get the i5, you will be bottle-necked for sure with the i3
