I have an 80 gb hard drive with windows 8 on it and have 2 partitions on it.. so the disk management on win 8 shows my partitions like this. system reserved, C drive (windows) and then B drive and then free space space ... i want to add the free space to the C drive without loosing anydata... is There a way.. all i've heard about is that i'll have to dissolve the B drive first!

Solution
use this program: http://www.easeus.com/partition-manager/

You will then need to expand the B drive to the free space, filling up the entire B Drive, and getting rid of the free space. Then resize the B drive by right clicking it and selecting "resize". Where it says "Unallocated space before" move that up to the amount of free space you want to add to the C: drive. Then select "OK". Finally, right click on the C: drive and select "resize". Move the slider on the top all the way over, and it will merge the free space with the C: drive. Click "Apply" in the top left and you are done!
