Sold my old gaming pc, and now stuck with a HP factory built desktop. I dont game much anymore, but I have hundreds of steam indie titles that I would like to get around to. This desktop cannot run anything, not even a 1080p video correctly.

Im looking for advice on what kind of Video card to get, doesn't have to be really cheap, but it has require no additional power connectors to power supply.

Hmm.. now currently the AMD Radeon hd 7750 1gb gddr5 is the best graphics card that doesn't require any additional power connectors.it can play all the new titles at medium settings. well cpu do you have?

AMD Phenom 9150e Quad-Core 1.8ghz

Its pretty bad. But I expect to atleast play some of the steam titles.

it will bottleneck the card a lot but you can expect to play all the neww titles at low settings and you will also have to lower the resolutions. The AMD hd 7750 is pretty good card card and you will not be disappointed. dont forget to select the best question.

Yeah i figured it would bottleneck it. Plus I realized the PCU is only 300w. So i ended up getting a bottom of the chart gt 610. But to my suprise it has been great in counter strike, defcon, and even left 4 dead. but the Nvidia GT 620, 630, and 640 are within the dollar difference, only reason I didnt pick one of those is because it had a 350w PSU requirement.

Do you happen to know if thatll really affect performance if I were to go get one of those instead? Or am i better off without?

The 7750 is still the best choice. And it will run on 300w despite the recommendation
