Greetings from Sweden

Well I have tried to get dual graphics working for about a week now without any success.
I have tried everything possible when it comes to installation proceedures and now I simply can't figure it out.

Hardware:
Asus A88XM-PLUS (Latest BIOS 1102, with the following settings: IGFX multi-monitor - Enabled, Primary Video Devixe - PCIE/PCI, Integrated Graphics - Force, UMA Frame Buffer Size - 1G)
A10-7850K (cTDP set at 65W)
XFX R7 250 1GB GDDR5 Passive
G.Skill Ripjaws 2x4GB 1600mhz 9-9-9-9-24 CL9 (listed in Asus QVL, in dual channel mode, XMP profile 1)
Samsung 840 Pro 128GB
Windows 8.1 (I have also tried Windows 7 with or without SP1 and w/wo MS VGA driver updates)

The steps I take everytime with the above BIOS settings:
1. Fresh windows (7 or 8.1) install with R7 250 installed
1a. Fresh windows (7 or 8.1) install wo R7 250 installed (GPU is then installed after windows)
2. Install all Windows updates
2a. Install all important Windows updates only (no MS VGA drivers)
2b. No updates installed
3. Install drivers from Asus support disc
3a. Skipping Asus support disc
4.Install CCC 13.12
4a. Install CCC 14.1 BETA
4b. Install CCC 13.301
4c. Install CCC 13.30 RC3 BETA

In device manager both iGPU and GPU show up as installed with correct drivers.
In CCC only one of them is enabled depending on where I plug in the HDMI, the other is always disabled in CCC.

I've been following two other threads, both of them with the same hardware (different mobos) and in both cases the dual graphic option comes up after a few reboots.

So right now I'm completely lost, I have simply no idea what is wrong or what else to try.

Yes, I have read everything on the AMD website, they don't help much.

No that is the main problem, even though all my bios settings and drivers seems to be correct I don't get the dual graphics option in CCC.

From original post:
Inn device manager both iGPU and GPU show up as installed with correct drivers.
In CCC only one of them is enabled depending on where I plug in the HDMI, the other is always disabled in CCC.

Nothing is shown about dual graphics, I know it "should" show up under preformance.

CCC Hardware info tells me one of the GPUs are disabled depending on where I plug in the HDMI cable, if I plug it into the motherboard the iGPU shows as enabled and the R7 250 as disabled, and vice versa if I plug in the HDMI in the R7 250.

This tells me both of them are in fact installed and working, since I can just switch the output.

This is exactly where I have seen other people having problem, their solution was correct BIOS settings and then rebooted a couple of times and dual graphics just started up.

My BIOS settings should be correct, but it doesn't help....

To my knowledge I should not have to have two HDMI cables plugged in, even the AMD FAQ states:

For best performance, AMD recommends plugging the display into your discrete graphics card. This will ensure that even applications that do not take advantage of AMD Radeon™ Dual Graphics will still be able to run on the faster graphics card in your system. However, to be more accurate, we recommend that you plug your monitor into the AMD Radeon™ graphics with the higher model number. If that is your APU, plug into the motherboard, if it is your discrete graphics card, plug into that.

the reason why I said that is you said whatever you have the cable plugged into it shows that graphics processor as enabled, Though it should work normally (which your's isn't there has to be another way). I suggest having one video cable to the motherboard - monitor and the other from graphics card - monitor and theoretically both should be enabled then, on the monitor just choose the graphics card input. Then if both cards are enabled then pair them up, then disconnect the cable from the motherboard - monitor to see what happens.

I see your point. I'll test it tonight when I get back home. Though I have everything connected to the TV I assume this should not be a problem?
Actually the HDMI I'm using right now is connected straight to the TV for all these testing purposes while I have another HDMI connected to my receiver which is the one I was supposed to use once everything was working.

So basically what I can do is GPU-<HDMI>-TV and iGPU-<HDMI>-RECEIVER-<HDMI>-TV. Please note that I cannot use both sources at the same time on the TV, I have to switch between the input source (HDMI1 or HDMI2 etc).

Well this is what happened:
First I had major issues getting a signal from both iGPU and GPU, switching the HDMI between the two did not work which has been the case the other days, only the GPU had a signal.
After some further testing and uninstall/install amd drivers I got signal from both GPUs at the same time based on the following settings:
In BIOS the iGPU was set as primary while the other settings was left as described in first post, Catalyst 14.1 Beta, GPU connected straight to TV, iGPU connected to TV via receiver. It resulted in two displays and two GPUs in CCC Hardware info showed as enabled (Primary adapter R7 iGPU, Enabled adapter R7 200)

But still no dual graphics

Once I changed back to PCIE/PCI as primary in BIOS I no longer had two screens in windows, still no dual graphics. I tried to reboot a couple of times but nothing changed.

Side note, other guys have been able to get dual graphics working with the 13.12 drivers, for some reason I can`t use it. Once its installed I have a warning which is not shown in the catalyst installation log and in the Device manager the iGPU is shown with MS basic vga drivers installed instead of proper AMD ones.

I aren't sure if the R7 250 will pair up with the A10 7850K on the latest driver. You'll have to wait for AMD to release their next beta driver as the previous version did work..The latest version isn't working for you and the previous version doesn't work either. You'll ave to contact AMD for them to fix their driver.

Thanks for all replies.

I was able to solve the problem: apperantly 1600MHz memory does not work. Once I changed the settings in BIOS to 1866MHz dual graphics was enabled in Catalyst. Working on 13.301 and 14.1 beta.

Did one quick benchmark with Sleeping Dogs (1080p medium) 30min playtime.
Avg 20fps with R7 250
Avg 38fps with dual graphics
