Hello,

I mainly use the PC for entertainment and some newer games.

This is what I had in mind for some upgrades. The budget is around 300$ / 200£ for CPU, Motherboard and RAM.
PCPartPicker part list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2fUkU

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor (£60.11 @ Ebuyer)
Motherboard: ASRock FM2A55M-DGS Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard (£36.66 @ Scan.co.uk)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£65.76 @ Scan.co.uk)
Total: £162.53

I have an hard time to decide, even with new post about the best gaming CPU's.. I'm kinda torn between AMD Athlon II X4 750K/760K, AMD FX-6300 and Intel Core i3-4130.

The reason for the low profile RAM is because my new heatsink, so the RAM's can't be higher than 44mm.

My current setup
MSI G31TM-P35 motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 @2.40 GHz
Stock heatsink
AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
4 GB Ram
Samsung 120GB SSD
1 TB HDD
Corsair RM650 PSU
Fractal Design Define Mini

Online multiplayers are usually more CPU bound than GPU bound. I think the i5-3350p will work great with this title.
These are the system requirements which I found on the Game official forum:

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
Beta tests are typically more system-intensive than the final game ends up being. In order to make sure you have the best possible beta experience, here are our minimum requirements for helping test WildStar:

CPU: Intel Pentium Core2 Duo 2.4 GHz, AMD Phenom X3 2.3 GHz, or better
RAM: 4GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT, ATI Radeon HD 3850, or better
Operating Systems: Windows XP SP2 (64-bit) or later. 32-bit systems are not supported during beta

As you can see the game recommended CPU requirements are pretty...

If your budget is cheap consider going through this

CPU: AMD A6-5400K 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock FM2A75 Pro4-M Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1Tb 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.99 @ Microcenter)
GPU: MSI R7770-PMD1GD5 Radeon HD 7770 ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Raidmax ATX-249B (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($23.25 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: CoolMax 600W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $408.18
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available).
Optical drive is optional.
More room for RAM ofcourse.

A few points:

1) Without a new graphics card, you'll likely see little difference in many games.

2) You'll require a new copy of Windows likely as well since you're switching motherboards.

3) The CPU might not be an upgrade as mentioned, though I don't have benchmarks handy.

Summary:
Basically there's not much of a real upgrade happening, you are arguably wasting your money. My advice is save up and replace the entire system.

Yeah, I've considered upgrading my entire PC, but it sure does cost a lot and seeing I only use it for entertainment og some casual gaming, I don't want to spend too much.

This is what I've been suggested (for 4K movies and maybe some games)
Intel Core i5-4670K
CORSAIR Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3
ASRock Z87M PRO4
Paired with a AMD Radeon R9 280X or similar GPU.

Thanks, also what I thought.
I'm planning to play Wildstar when it comes out and would like to max the grapichs, I'll probably get a newer GPU if needed. But which of the CPU's will serve me best here? The Intel Core i5-3350P or maybe something else?

As you can see the game recommended CPU requirements are pretty low but I wouldn't trust the requirements published by the game makers, If I were you I would wait until someone benchmarks the game with different CPUs and GPUs so that you can find out what sort of hardware can really offer you the desired level of playability you seek.

Thanks for the help!
I was just looking at the system requirements too and noticed they were quite low, to my surprise.
Guess I'll have to wait and see what kind of CPU's/GPU's I'm going to pick, when there's some benchmarks.
