Hello Guys,
I'm hoping some of you can help me with a problem I'm having. I'm currently trying to set up a network over a large distance. 200m

a) Router 1: This is in the main building and his connected to the internet.

b) Wireless Booster: I can plug this directly into the router and mount on the outside of the building in the direction of the other building.

c) Router 2. I have dd-wrt installed on this.

d) Wanscam Wireless or wired IP Camera.

How should I setup b,c, and d in order for one to be able to access the IP Camera on a). Likewise the signal from the Booster reaches c) no bother. Should this be set as an Access Point or should they be bridged 'b and c'.

Any help would be appreciated.

If the wireless cameras can directly see the wireless booster then that is your best option. You can set router 2 in client-bridge mode to allow wired cameras to attach to it. If the wireless cam cannot see the booster you will need to run the router2 in repeater mode which tends to be a pain to keep stable.

Hey,
Thanks for your reply. I've tired that but whenever I put it in cilent Bridge mode, it drops the network and does not work. I've tried putting both the booster and the extra router in repeater mode. That works to take the network to the final router, whilst still allowing one to access the Main Router IP interface. However whenever I connect the webcam to the final router, the main router cannot pick it up. Likewise I have a printer on router 1 and this can be detected on the booster but not the second router.

Would this have something to do with router subnets or something?

I really need to get this sorted. It's driving me crazy.

:)
