WHat to remember for new build

When you buy all your parts and everything and put together your pc, do you need to remember anything special? now im talking about after you have put it together and is gonna turn it on.

Do you need to like install the hard drive drivers before you can install an OS on it?

Or does the mobo automaticly detects the harddrivers and optical drive?

so is it just to put all the parts together then turn on the pc and put in the windows cd?

I don't think it's possible to install drivers before you've installed an OS (or at least started installing one), and most hard drives, optical drives, and even SSDs don't need special drivers anyway - I just checked my drives in the Device Manager, and they're all using Microsoft drivers from 2006.

If you plan to configure a RAID, that's generally something to do before OS install, and sometimes it's necessary to install a third-party RAID driver near the beginning of OS install. It would probably also be a good idea to go into the BIOS settings before OS install and make sure AHCI is enabled and other settings are the way you want them.

Thanks thats what i tought, the raid drivers i know because i have done raid 0 on my own computer and there it dident find any hard drives to install windows on before i installed the raid drivers from a usb
