Basically what the title says. Should i get the radeon hd 7990 or the gtx 780 ti superclocked gigabyte ghz edition. To me prices don't matter. I will be gaming at 1440p and i will mostly be using my gpu for extreme gaming, video editing and doing high end projects. Also, all my games and software support gpu. Even though the radeon hd 7990 has better bandwidth, memory, floating performance, pixel rate, texel rate, memory bus and more shading units i have heard better reviews for the gtx 780 ti superclocked gigabyte ghz edition. So just to repeat again for my gpu should i get the radeon hd 7990 or the gtx 780 ti superclocked gigabyte ghz edition.

Thank you

:)

Get the 780 Ti.The 7990 will run super hot,its very long and has issues like micro stuttering. The 780 ti performs very well for 1440p.And never ever compare two gpu's on specs.Like the 7970 has better specs than the 780 but the 780 neutralizes 7970 in terms of gaming performance

If I were going to consider the cards, the decision would be between the 780 ti and the R9 290x.

The R9 290 and 290x are the only implementations of the AMD cards that tackle the frame-pacing issue at the hardware level. Those of us who've dealt with AMD drivers over the years don't have a lot of trust with their ability to implement a solid software solution for the frame-pacing issue. For this reason, I wouldn't even consider a 7990.

It would be between the 780 ti and the 290x.

The 780TI. It will always outperform the 7990 in software, because 90% of the software does not use SLI or XFire. In games - if the game has good XFire optimization the 7990 will win by a slight. If it does not the GTX780Ti takes a big lead. Single GPU cards are always more predictable. Go with the 780Ti and just enjoy.

Always go single. The 780Ti is almost as powerful and you won't have driver and frame pacing issues. Save yourself the trouble. If the x290 wasn't so damn expensive, i'd recommend that, but at this time.. the 780 Ti beats it out.

I would get the 780ti (did I say that already?).
